This one seems weird. But believe me, when they use it, they’ll know they need it. Kayakers tend to have some smelly gear in their car (kayaking gear can get pretty potent) and it is hard to ignore. Bamboo Charcoal Car Deodorizer eliminates the odor. The smell doesn’t too strong, it will refresh your car.
With phones replacing many people’s cameras, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing more and more of them on the river. That’s why it makes sense for kayakers to have the waterproof case. But for me, I’ll rather choose a more advanced model like, Catalyst Waterproof iPhone Case, which is not only waterproof up to 33 feet but can have the feature like ultra resistant to drops, fall & shocks…etc.
If your kayaking friend owns a wetsuit or a drysuit. They will need shampoo to clean it. That’s why this gift never goes wrong. The wetsuit shampoo tends to be very inexpensive and to last a long time.
I actually have this cute stuff! It’s just a stir stick shaped like paddles for you to stir your drink. This for someone who cannot stand not paddling even one day.
The keychain is laser engraved with the image that you see in the photo and they will laser engrave your name or custom text below the image for free. So, it’s cool to have your friends’ nickname on a kayak man keychain.
This cap is Cool and practical(maybe). Just like a funny mug, it can be a funny gift for your friends who isn’t an old man but loves kayak.
Just like the cap, get your humor mode on with this fun t-shirt. I would love to wear this on.
Gifts from $10-$25
Another T-shirt? Yes! you can have countless t-shirts, why not add another one to your kayaker friends’ closet.
A must for all season kayakers, whitewater kayakers and from those who suffer from blisters. I was looking for a pair of gloves to protect my hands from the sun while I was fishing. These gloves do exactly that. I used them kayak fishing and they work wonderfully. No sun exposure and no fish slime exposure either.
When you spend all day on the water you get used to being wet, but that doesn’t mean a towel isn’t needed. That’s why the quick-drying and compact towel is ideal for kayakers. It’s always feel good to have the towel to dry your body right after you take a river shower.
I own this grips. I have had issues with blisters and this helped incredibly. I no longer get blisters and my hands are much more comfortable when I paddle. The grips were also easy to install and dry really quickly when they get wet.
You can always have one more opener, that’s the spiritual here. A rustic style kayak bottle opener with jute rope accents seem a cool gift for your friend who enjoys both kayaking and drinking.
Nothing says digital-but-outdoorsy like a wooden USB drive. This will pair well with your Maple-finished MacBook Pro. And people like having as many USB drives as they can.
I own the wet sock too. They Will protect your feet in cooler weather. It’s a really practical gift choice. The three-piece construction with flat-locked seams provides a smooth, seamless feel that hugs the contours of your foot.
This is a special gift for someone who has a friend owns an inflatable kayak. They can say goodbye to the manual pump. The 12V Electric Pump connects to your car lighter or power point for faster inflation or deflation. Used in conjunction with a hand or foot pump, it’s ideal for use on both large and small inflatables when getting onto the water is your highest priority.
I also own a waterproof speaker but it’s a different model. I love the sounds of nature when paddling backwater trails. But sometimes it might be nice to have some pop-songs as you paddle along. This waterproof Bluetooth speaker attaches to a smooth surface on your kayak with a suction cup and connects to your cell phone via Bluetooth. And it can also use when you are taking shower at home.
Insulate bottle is kinda like a gift for universal, you can’t be wrong to give someone a nice stainless water bottle. They’re perfect for countless occasions. Although it’s not an extremely special gift, it’s a safe choice for all kayaker. It keeps hot beverages hot for hours and cold beverages cold for hours, that’s why people love it.
Gifts from $25-$50
For the female kayaker (because all girls love a little bit of bling), this kayaker necklace can probably be a little reminder of what they love. I’m not sure about this gift. Women are very hard to figure out especially comes to give them a gift.
Another fun choice for someone who really can get enough of kayaking. This is a garden accessory, the 20 in whirligig kayak spinner is big and vibrant to brighten up any plain lawn.
You would not believe how useful a rear bag can be. A solid gear bag. Made to fit all your essential gear, aside from a paddle, the top half is meshed to allow its contents to breathe. It’s a great way to make sure all of your gear makes it from home to the river and back again.
Even if the kayaker in your life already has one, these are still a great gift for him/her. Sun exposure and time will degrade the throw bags, then you need to exchange them by the time. After all, this is safety equipment. This bag is good for any discipline and will make a great contribution to any kayaker’s gear collection.
It’s time to be a man with a warm heart. If you’ve ever found your kayaker buddy’s hands getting cold, pogies are the perfect gift for him/her. They will really appreciate your contribution. They go around the shaft of the paddle so you can still hold the paddle directly, which gives you more control. They are made of neoprene so they will keep hands warm even if their hands get wet.
I have it and I love it! If your kayaker friend is also a coffee lover, this is the BEST gift for him/her. 30oz size makes 2 large cups of strong coffee. That’s all I need for the day when I’m kayaking. So, this size is good for me. If you need more than that, get the bigger size.
Gifts from $50-$100
For anyone not familiar with pelican cases I would like to tell you that you cannot buy a better case made to protect your valuables. These durable, water-resistant cases are perfect for protecting things that matter on the river most like cameras. And every pelican cases come with a lifetime warranty. Also, the Dry box has customizable pre-cut foam on its interior to customize it for your needs(you also can find one without it.).
If the kayak camp lover in your life doesn’t have a Roll-A-Table yet, this will be the best gift for them. These are standard gear on kayak camp trips and you couldn’t live without them. You can finally have a nice dinner on the flat surface instead of a sandy beach. Also, it’s just a really great portable table for many occasions.
Nowadays keep your phone alive is a big deal. We’ve all been there—you’re ready to take a photo of the incredible scene on the water that you have never seen before and…your phone dies. Help your friend validate their kayaking discoveries with a solar panel kit so they won’t run out of battery.
Just because you’re camping doesn’t mean you don’t have to eat well. And it comes with a cookbook. Whether you’re roasting a chicken in the oven or cooking chili over the campfire, Lodge has you covered with the included Camp Dutch Oven Cooking 101 cookbook. If you’re looking for a great Dutch oven for your friend. This is the right choice, it’s just a matter of deciding the right size pot for your needs.
Gifts from $100-$200
The water Shoe is built to be in and around water, but it can conquer a serious hike too. This mid-cut boot has enhanced foot support and reinforced wear zones so it is comfortable and will hold up to all your travels. The self-draining uppers mean no more squish, squish as you walk after wading in the water. They are made with a synthetic upper to dry quickly and have a stealth rubber sole to grip anything. They look good, too, and come in a sweet black and green color scheme.
Just like the Bluetooth speaker. I love the sounds of nature when paddling backwater trails. But sometimes it might be nice to have some pop-songs as you paddle along. And it can also use for swimming. I have been using their products for a long time. You will need to find the right earplug size in case of using it under water.
If your friend has a large, touring ocean kayak or similar boat, this is the best gift for him/her. Every kayaker knows the feeling of dumping a fully loaded kayak on the way to launch because of a subpar cart. The c-tug handles the weight of the three hulls, mast, and all the sails with no problem. And this is a practical cart that can really be taken apart and put back together in very little time.
Not many kayakers own a helmet, that makes this a good choice of gift for them. The Wanderer is a dependable and durable helmet with solid protection performance. Introduced in 2008, but updated several times, it’s a great piece of protective equipment for all-round river use. It takes a beating, breaths well all seasons, and so comfortable you barely know it’s on.
This grill is easy to use and I love its compactness. Everything has a place to snap into for your kayak camping trip. It’s perfect for a two-person camping trip. It’s just a little bit heavy than you might think because it includes a cast iron skillet.
The T-bone is an adjustable truck bed extender made from aircraft grade aluminum. The curved design allows you to traverse uneven ground without the worry or dragging or damaging your gear. It is adjustable to fit all stock truck beds. You can see my another article about how to transport a kayak in a truck. There are more details about t-bone truck rack. How To Transport a Kayak in a Truck? Detailed Explanation.
Gifts over $200
This gift is sure to boost the confidence of whoever is receiving it. This fishfinder will not only help find fish but also mark so you can return to hot spots, docks, and ramps. No more of coming back from trips empty handed or getting lost on your way back to the ramp. I’m not an expert on kayak fishing, so I didn’t know much about this.
FeelFree’s cooler is reliable, durable and integrated with the latest cooler technology. The foam infused rotomolded polyethylene core will keep your drinks cold and your catch fresh while you fish all day. The refrigerator grade gasket keeps the cooler sealed while locked. The best part? A bottle opener so you can open your favorite adult beverage with ease. / resource:www.feelfreeus.com
I love the GoPro. I had looked at GoPros for a while and decided on this cheaper model. I like to take it with me when I go fishing out on the kayak or sometimes cycling on the street. It has been great for all occasions. The video is clear and the sound is wonderful. The quality can not be compared to the higher model, it costs you only half the price. For me, It was well worth the buy and your friend will love to have it.
Recreational Kayaks $199-249
Why not just give them a new kayak. This is another article on this site. There are my picks for the top 7 inexpensive recreational kayaks under 250 in 2018.
